Installing Auto SSL Certificate

  1. Login to the cPanel account
  2. Click SSL/TLS in the Security section.
  3. Click Certificates (CRT)
  4. Generate a new certificate
    1. Enter Domains, one per line with and without the www.
    2. Enter City, State, Country and Company
    3. Click Generate
  5. Remove the expired Certificate (it can sometimes cause a conflict)
  6. Go to WHM and search for SSL
  7. Click Install an SSL Cert on a Domain
    1. Choose the account name from the dropdown
    2. Choose the Self-Signed cert
    3. Click Use Certificate
  8. It will give you a warning about using self-signed certs, ignore and click Install
  9. Go to the Manage AutoSSL page
  10. Click the Manage Users tab
    1. Search for the account name
    2. Click the Check button
  11. Go to the Logs tab
    1. Click Refresh
    2. Select the log with the account name
    3. Click view log
    4. Scroll to the bottom and make sure that it says “AutoSSL will request a new certificate”
  12. Go to the Pending Queue
    1. You will see a list of all of the domains that need the cert
    2. Wait a couple minutes and refresh
    3. Once the list is empty check the main domain to make sure that the certificate is in place
  13. All Set!
